In case you needed another reason to get drunk after work today, here it is: Its National Beer Day! So since you basically to down a few (or more than a few) beers today, we have some suggestions that will help you get drunk like a celebrity.
Here are some beers brewed by superstars to help you get a buzz going today.
Definitely the best-named brew on the list, boy band Hanson went from the peak of their musical success in the late 90s to brewing their own brand of craft beer today. Their pale ale Mmmhops (a play on their hit single MMMBop) is only available in the Midwest, so if you happen to be in Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas or Illinois, give it a try!
Stone Farking Wheaton W00tstout Wil Wheaton
Heres the clear choice for Trekkies everywhere. Star Trek: The Next Generation star Wil Wheaton has his own beer through craft brewers, Stone Brewing.
Churchkey Pilsner Adrian Grenier
Adrian Grenier really took the hipster element of making craft beer to a whole new level when he released his Churchkey Pilsner in 2012. The Entourage star introduced a flat-top beer can without a pull-tab that requires drinkers to use a sharp metal instrument (called a churchkey) to open. Id recommend it for a hardcore traditionalist or anyone whosfed up with how easy it is to open a beer can nowadays.
Hooties Homegrown Ale Hootie & the Blowfish
Hootie & the Blowfish put out a ton of memorable rock songs and apparently also their own beer! The band teamed up with Rock Brother Brewing to put out an American Blonde Ale called Hooties Homegrown Ale.
The Tom Green Beer! Tom Green
Tom Green has spent his comedy career making people laugh, but he wasnt joking when he made his own brew of beer. The Tom Green Beer! is a milk stout that has notes of chocolate and coffee.
Dogfish Head American Beauty The Grateful Dead
Grateful Dead fans usually prefer uh means of intoxication, but the band has something to help the more laid-back Deadhead get a buzz, too.
The Grateful Dead teamed up with Dogfish Brewing in 2013 to put out American Beauty, an IPA that seeks to bottle the feel of one of the psychedelic rock bands iconic shows with a granola taste.
All-Wise Mead Dylan Sprouse
OK, technically, mead is more of a wine than a beer, but close enough.
Dylan Sprouse, best known for being one half of The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, is getting in on the celebrity brewing business with his own meadery, All-Wise Meadery, in Brooklyn slated to open this summer.
And according to the meaderys website, Dylan is the youngest Master Brewer in the US, so thats pretty cool!
And yes, opening a meadery in Brooklyn is, in fact, the most hipster thing anyone can do.
