For those of you who are in Ireland for a Paddy’s Day visit, here are five things (other than drinking Guinness) that you should do while in Ireland.
1. Head to the Irish Craft Beer and Cider Festival
You can try real, legal poitín there. Guaranteed to burn the whole way down. Ending on St. Paddy’s Day (until September) so get there quick!
2. Head up to Belfast for the Titanic Segway Tour.
Zoom around the site where the famous ship was built on a Segway and learn all about the ship and the building of Titanic Studios – the mediahouse behind Game of Thrones.
3. Go on the Dublin Ghost Bus Tour
Head on the Dublin Ghost Bus Tour for a terrifying night of myth, legend and fright – culminating in a graveyard tour. Not for the faint-hearted!
4. Have tea in Father Ted’s House
Father Ted was a TV show that has become an institution in Ireland. You’ll be so popular with the Irish when you tell them you headed down to Clare to have tea in the one and only house of Father Ted that you’ll never have to put your hand in your pocket for a drink.
5. Play FOOTEE
A hilarious mix of Golf and Football, FOOTEE is a great (and affordable) way to spend a day in Dublin – on the rolling green hills with the sheep. Just make sure to bring runners with good grip!
6. Come back in the summer for the Irish Redhead Convention!
The annual Redhead Convention will be happening again this summer so make sure you come back for a weekend of fun, frolics and hundreds of gingers down in Cork.
